10 Things You Should Know About WordPress 2.2

Visited 366 times, 2 so far todayFor many of us we anticipate the long wait for a new release of Wordpress with ever more exciting features to be offered. Well WordPress 2.2 is finally here, and with some good features built in including over 200 bug fixes, here is a couple.
- WordPress Widgets you no longer need a separate plugin as widgets are now built-into the code by default. Wordpress 2.2 allows you to simply reorganize and customize your sidebar by using drag-and-drop. In my opinion having the widgets as part of the code is a great idea and it means that you don’t need to have the Widget plugin installed if you have already.
- Full Atom support, includes updating our Atom feeds to use the 1.0 standard spec and including an implementation of the Atom Publishing API to complement our XML-RPC interface.
