They can help promote your site, promote your product, and attract traffic and by offering people the chance to win something, they are more likely to revisit your site again and again and take a look at what’s on offer.
You could even use the previous example of newsletters whereby if someone signs up there name automatically gets entered into a prize draw. Remember that a few dollars spent is always a good investment and it could be something as little as a cuddly toy.
