Google to allow Adsense in Youtube videos: Video
Adsense August 25th, 2007
Visited 601 times, 2 so far todayI was reading the Youtube blog and came across a post announcing Google to allow Adsense in Youtube videos also known as Invideo ads but, before you get excited, they are only offering this to selected partners. I assume by this they mean few selected Adword bidders. The way they propose to do this is similar to Google AdSense in that it will skim through website content and display relevant advertisements that match your website content. YouTube will do the same for its videos.
The Adsense will begin running 15 seconds into the video and show for up to ten seconds; they will be displayed at the bottom of the video window taking the user to another window showing a more interactive video if the ad is clicked on. It will play right in the video you are currently watching. When you close it you are back in the Youtube video you are watching. You can minimise the ad and you can bring it back up if you want to bring it back up. The ads will automatically disappear if the user doesn’t click on them.
The ads will appear transparent looking as though they are embedded into the video. Youtube say that the Ads will not interfere with the user watching the video.
